Fast advances in the wireless technology and the intensive penetration of cell phones have motivated banks to spend large budget on building mobile banking systems, but the adoption rate of mobile banking is still underused than expected. Consequently, this study surveys the user of mobile banking application to investigate what impacts people to adopt mobile banking.
Objective of this study are: First, to study about concept and the importance of using IT. Second, to study about Mobile technology in other countries. Third, to study about the problems in technology. Finally, to search for the feedback of Mobile banking users and compare between Kasikorn Bank, Siam Commercial Bank and Krungthai Bank.
The collection data method is using questionnaires from 400 samples. Furthermore, searching data and information from secondary sources.
The study found that has 48% use Mobile banking and 52% not use. K-Mobile Banking is the most popular of Mobile banking application. The transaction that’s used often is balance checking and transfer money because Mobile banking makes the users are more comfortable. Mobile banking made a result in fewer trips to the bank and most people like Mobile banking.
The important results of this study are people, who have Mobile Banking, go to bank or ATM machine less than before they have this application and the key success of Mobile Banking are easy to use and secured, so Kasikorn bank has the competitive advantage from this issue because Kasikorn bank can improve them.
The recommendations are banks should give information about Mobile Bankingsecured for makes the customers who are concerned about the security of technology and it has an opportunity of Mobile Banking market, that has 52% of customers that never use Mobile Banking. So it is a very good chance because the growth of smart phone and 3G is a hot issue.
